Speaking Out for Youth and Justice

New kit designed for school officials, social service providers, civic leaders, business managers, public health officers, and faith leaders addresses the following questions:

This comprehensive kit contains fact sheets and accompanying transparency masters on 17 youth crime prevention and juvenile justice topics. Materials are designed to support short presentations on specific topics. Included videotape features

• public service advertisement that urges adults to invest in youth for a safer future
• nine mini-videos (2.5 minutes to 3.5 minutes each) illustrating effective programs, such as conflict resolution, youth and drugs, and engaging youth in community problem solving
• 33-minute condensed version of the PBS series "In Search of Law and Order: Reclaiming America's Kids," which serves as a starting point for a discussion on juvenile justice and crime prevention
